Report November/December 2011
It is that time of year that we congratulate the winners
of the Regional Points Awards, very kindly sponsored by Localrider Magazine.
Surrey members have done very well, once again.
The Senior winners of the South Central League are
Abi Williams (1m, 90cm and 80cm) and Abigail Groves (70cm). In the Junior League, Lucy Hart, of Hampshire, takes the 1m section, Harry Teal the 90cm, whilst Hannah Wanbon is victorious in the 80cm and 70cm.
At HOYS, The Billy Stud flew the flag for Surrey. Pippa Funnell took the spotlight on Wednesday, National Day, when
winning the Equestrianclearance.com Newcomers Championship in fine style on Carol Toliver's six-year-old bay gelding Billy Balou. Having won the Regional Final at Crofton Manor in the summer, with the sole triple clear, it was a well deserved victory.
Not to be outdone, William Funnell won the 5 Fence Challenge with Billy Grand, whilst stable jockey Dan Moseley claimed third in the Horse & Hound Foxhunter with the outstanding Billy Mexico.
